Dance Class and Chicago
January 7, 2012
Exciting day....Reagan has her very first of six dance classes.  She is over the moon about this.  It is all she has talked about since December 27th when we told her about it.  We even had to go to Target to get a "dance uniform" per Reagan.  She ended up being the only one in the class, but Miss Katie and Miss Casey at AMP'd we awesome.  They taught Reagan the ballet positions and did some fun creative movement and then taught her a pirouette and sashay.  Even though she can't get her arms all the way up and move her legs, her teacher was great in accentuating all that she could do and playing off her enthusiasm...it was amazing watching her pure enjoyment and happiness to dance!
After class we headed down to the Chicago area to go to Dominican University WBB game against Concordia WI University in support of Reagan and the MDA Muscle Walk that is coming up.  Nicole Kopacz, who I coached with at Alverno is now an assistant at DU and wanted to do a game to raise awareness and money for MDA, so she got a bunch of items to raffle off and had a donation booth at the game and both teams wore Make a Muscle t-shirts for warm ups.  Then they introduced Reagan before the game and told a bit about her and she stayed at half court for introductions and shook the starters hands.  Reagan wanted to get some raffle tickets and ended up winning the iPod shuffle!  Thanks Nicole, DU WBB and CUW WBB for all of your support!

Happy 2012!!!!!

The Nutcracker, a special home visit from Santa & Christmas for a sick little girl
December 30, 2011
entry from Mom
We took Reagan to the Friday afternoon performance of The Nutcracker.  She got to wear her new, fancy red dress and her shiny black shoes...so exciting.  We all enjoyed the performance, but Reagan's cough got continually worse as the show went on.  She took a little nap on the way home and had a big surprise in the works...Santa, the man in the red suit, made a special visit to our house to say hi to Reagan (thanks Michelle)!  I wish I would have had a video camera for when she answered the door...OMG, it was beyond priceless, she was speechless (and for those of you who know Reagan that's really saying something)!  It was a wonderful visit and just made her Christmas so very extra special!!!!! The night was pretty ugly, lots of coughing, a low grade fever, a few low 80% desatts, and then the vomiting came.  Saturday morning, with the help of Zofran and Motrin she said she felt fine so we packed up and went to visit Oma & G&G Imhoff.  The drive was uneventful until about Madison when Reagan spiked a fever again and had to lay down.  We made it to our destination and there was snow on the ground and presents inside which seemed to be enough of an adrenaline boost to give Reagan a good hour or so before she came crashing down.  We did our usual Christmas Eve routine with chocolate milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer and Daddy reading "The Night Before Christmas" but the she was off to bed.  Christmas morning she woke up coughing and feverish and just wanted to lay in bed.  Finally after another 45 minutes I asked her if she knew what day it was and she said "yes, it's Christmas, can we just lay down a little longer and then open presents?"  Wow, she was really not feeling well.  Finally she was up to it and we went out to open gifts and have a cookie.  She started to perk up and even played with a few presents before asking to lay down again.  Then we headed over to G&G Larson's for a late lunch and gifts.  Reagan and Steven had lots of fun and Uncle Ryan did a good job playing Santa and handing out gifts to open, except for when he tortured Steven with 3 boxes of clothes in a row.  It's a few days later and after a visit to see Dr. Dan and 2 different antibiotics for Reagan she is doing better, but now Daddy and I are hurting...BEWARE, do not enter our house unless you want to get sick!

Happy Holidays
Last week Reagan visited with Murphy and Meg at the Oldies 95.7 as a guest DJ and this Friday (12/23) if you listen from 11am-1pm you’ll get to hear a wonderful mix of Christmas music and yours truly! For those of you not in the Milwaukee area here is their link to “listen live”
http://www.milwaukeeoldies.com/main.html. A special thanks to Rebecca & Rachel at The Boucher Group for giving Reagan this opportunity…she had so much fun!

Happy Thanksgiving

November 2011

We enjoyed a very delicious Thanksgiving at Grammie and Grandpie Larson's and while most of us watched the Packer game Reagan and Grammie played with the dollhouse and made all kinds of fun hand turkeys.  Unfortunately, Reagan was not feeling very well, so after the Packer game we headed home to check some Motrin for Reagan and get her to bed.  Reagan woke up the next morning with a nasty cough and fever.  This went on through the week and Reagan not only missed school, but she missed her class field trip to "Junie B. Jones, Jingle Bells Batman Smells" and the Domes...it was hard seeing that sad face when she realized that she wasn't going to be able to go.  Daddy came to the rescue and picked up a copy of the book on his way home from work and Reagan and I laid on the couch and read the entire thing (Grammie helped with the 1st Chapter).  Reagan finally was feeling well enough to go back to school December 6th, she lasted the morning and then I got that she had hit her limit...maybe by Thursday she'll be good to go!

Race for Reagan
November 12, 2011
entry from Mom
A great big Thank You to the New Berlin Eisenhower DECA for all of their hard work on the "Race for Reagan"  It was a fantastic event, thank you to everyone who supported it!  Read more about it at "Race for Reagan" and "Student Organization Goes the Distance".  Reagan's Daisy Troop 4700 came out in support of Reagan all wearing signs that they decorated on their backs, it was not only adorable, but made it so very special for all of us.  Friends and teachers from Glen Park and Ronald Reagan came by too...what a wonderful day!

Lost another tooth

November 6, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

Tonight while brushing Reagan's teeth before bed her other front tooth came out.  Now she is missing both of her front teeth for Christmas!  She was so cute, she had to make a special envelope to put her tooth in for the Tooth Fairy before she would get in bed.

Happy Halloween and a long weekend

October 28, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

We started Reagan's long weekend off with a day long play date with William and Roarke.  Can I just say how well those three always play together...they started off working up a sweat (literally) playing Wii Play, then we took them to Olive Garden for lunch and it was back home for Littlest Pet Shop.  Friday was a really big day, Daddy came home from London and brought back a bunch of goodies for Reagan, then her friend Isabel came over to play and make cookies.  To cap the day off we went to New Berlin Therapies for Haunted Gym Friday night.  This year Reagan was a black cat for Halloween.  Of course she found some bling to go along with her costume, with a sequin pink bow tie and sequin pink ears. Saturday we spent that day relaxing then we meet Kaya and Nolan at the Boo at the Zoo.  Sunday I made my first ever dairy-free cake for Steven's 6th birthday party celebration and headed over to Grammie and Grandpie's to have lunch with the family and cake and presents.  We quickly came home and got in her costume once again to head to her friend Alexandra's 7th birthday party.  They had so much with the Zombie relay races!

MDA Labor Day Telethon

September 4, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

This year the MDA Labor Day Telethon got a big makeover.  It is only going to be on one night and for 6 hours, also in the Milwaukee area FOX6 is now carrying the Telethon.  Last week we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Mary Stoker Smith and Jim the cameraman at our house for a profile piece they are doing on Reagan for Telethon.

My Love Bug is back home

June 17, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

Finally time to go and get my Love Bug.  I missed my girl more than even I thought I would, I couldn't wait to see her this morning:)  We got all packed up and headed home with a brief pit stop at the Mars Cheese Castle on the way home.  Joe was like a kid in a candy store between the cheese and brats I think he spent about $100.  Reagan got this huge cookie from the bakery that she had to have, took a bite and told me she liked my cookies better and I could have her cookie:)  We got to hear all about camp and as soon as we got home I stripped her down and gave a a nice long shower, got her in her pj's and she then took at 4 hour nap.  It is so wonderful having my girl back home!!!!!!!

MDA Summer Camp

June 12, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

It's official, Reagan is a big girl, she is going to MDA Summer Camp for a week. What a crazy day of packing and getting out the door to got down to camp by late afternoon and check in and get things settled.  I think we were all a bit nervous about things, Reagan must not have slept well last night since she fell asleep about 10 minutes into the drive.  It was pretty awesome when we arrived to the camp and there were about a dozen MDA and Harley Chapter members at the gates with signs and cheering for Reagan.  She had a huge smile on her face and that definitely made me feel better.  Once I handed in/checked in with Robin and went through all of her meds and schedule with the nurse we were on our way to Reagan's cabin to unload and meet her attendant Rachael.  There was another crew of Harley Chapter members there to help unload all of Reagan's stuff and carry it in to the cabin, which was awesome to get unloaded in one trip:)  We met Rachael right away and got unpacked and went though Reagan's day/schedule/needs and I made her bed all up for her and plugged in her equipment and all that good stuff.  We made out way back out front and Reagan saw a few of the older girls that she knew, but was still nervous about us leaving (she wasn't alone, my stomach felt horrible)  then the tears started.  I thought Joe was going to be the one who had a hard time leaving, but it was me!  Our third attempt to leave we finally made it to the car.  Rachael and all of the older girls were awesome and made feel better.  After another mom gave us a tour of the camp grounds we went and hid behind the car and watched from afar to make sure she was okay.  We saw Elizabeth walk by (she's one of the MDA people we work with a lot) and asked her to go and check on Reagan and give us an update.  She did and reported that she was painting her nails and doing just fine.  Joe and I left and went to meet Josh and Nicole for dinner.  About halfway through dinner I got a text from Elizabeth with a picture of Reagan at the Ducky dinner all smiles...that did my heart good:)

Last day of Kindergarten

June 10, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

What can I say our little girl has just finished Kindergarten.  It's amazing to see how much she has grown and what a wonderful person she is.  Mrs. Muench, Ms. Lopes and Mrs. Kollmann were so awesome and Reagan is already concerned about them not being her teachers next year.  After lots of pictures and saying good-bye to friends Joe and I took Reagan to Build-A-Bear.  Reagan was very set on getting a lamb that she had seen on tv around Easter time, I didn't think it would still be available, but I was wrong!  She found the lamb right away and even after going through all of her options she still wanted the lamb.  She had a fun time building "Lamby" and then picking out an outfit for her to wear.  I'm sure it will shock you that Reagan put together a princess ballerina ensemble for Lamby.  We also got Lamby a wheelchair so she could be just like Reagan!  We rounded out the afternoon with dinner at the Olive Garden to celebrate!

Let's Give it a Shot

May 27, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

After a lot of thought and multiple consults and a number of tests we have come to realization that Reagan's stomach is no longer working as it should.  So the decision has been made to have her G tube replaced with a G-J tube.  The difference being that the G tube goes directly into the stomach versus the G-J tube that has two ports, the "G" that goes directly to the stomach and the "J" that leads to the jujunum or small intestine.  By bypassing the stomach we are hopeful that Reagan will be able to get the nutrition that she desperately needs.  The plan is to start her J tube feeds at 10 ml/hr and increase every 6 hours until we reach 50 ml/hr for her overnight rate.  One of the big differences is that we can't bolus a feed through the J tube, it can only be continuous at a rate no higher than 80 ml/hr, which will take a few weeks to get to safely.  We are very hopeful that this will be what Reagan needs to turn the corner...only time will tell!

Time for another  rod lengthening

May 25, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

As per usual, Reagan was admitted the night prior to surgery to start nutrition.  Feeds continued to be difficult for Reagan, so Dr. Schroth just started to TPN right away and bypassed her feed all together so Reagan got some good nutrition before surgery.  Ever since she got sick in February Reagan has just not bounced back and her tummy has been increasingly problematic...  The IV team came up to place Reagan's line and did an awesome job!  Wednesday morning went smoothly with Reagan going in right at 8:30.  Intubation was a tough one and one of her top front teeth became a casualty:)  While her rods were being lengthened Dr. Noonan also was going to try cortisone injections in her hips again and he also came out ask if he could also do an abductor/groin release of the muscles.  He commented on how tight Reagan's were and said that it would likely help ease the tension in her hips, so we decided to go ahead and have that done as well.  Recovery went  pretty well and she was back up in the room around 1:00.  As for getting her tummy going that was an entirely different story.  To make a long story short we couldn't really move off of 10ml/hr drip?!?!?  We will see what tomorrow brings...

Princess Party

May 22, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

For the big royal celebration we went all out!  Today we had 12 princesses over for Reagan's birthday.  The living room, dining room, Reagan's office and kitchen all got a royal makeover...per Reagan's request we went with a Tangled/Princess theme.  I made about 20 paper lanterns that hung from the ceilings, a painting to mimic the one Rapunzel had on her tower wall of all the lanterns, and took yards of gold fabric and draped with ceilings to give it more of a majestic look.  Reagan's office was turned into the Bippity Boppity Boutique with a vanity fully stocked with Princess beauty items as well as a corner with puffy pillows and chairs to make their own jewelry.  The dining room table has a number of crafts one of which was to make their own tiaras and paintings.  We then played "Pass the Poison Apple" (aka Hot Potato) which was a huge hit and had a ring wand relay race.  After the singing of Happy Birthday the girls got some cake and snacks and settled in for a viewing of Tangled.  Reagan absolutely loved her party, and I think/hope her friends did to.  At bedtime she told us it was the best day ever!

The MDA Black-n-Blue Ball

May 13, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

On Thursday Reagan and Abbey (she's the MDA National Goodwill Ambassador) went to meet with Vivian King to kick off the Roundy's "Send a Kid to Camp" program.  The girls toured one of the Pick 'n Saves with Ms. King and thanked and handed out "Heartsongs" to all of the employees.  Afterwards Chris and the gang from MDA had a few surprises waiting for Reagan.  They got her the "awesomest" cake, it was pink and purple with a Barbie ballerina.  They also got her a Sleeping Beauty doll and clothes to go along with.  Friday was a fantastic night and fantastic event...we all had a great night and MDA raised a lot of money!  The auction had a special feature, "Reagan's Favorite Things" which consisted of six different baskets of her favs.  This year they also had a special Children's Art Auction, which had 8 different pieces of work from MDA kids.  Reagan drew a picture of some princesses at their castle with myself, Joe and Reagan riding in Harley's up the road to see them...and can you believe it sold for $4200!!!!  Later on after dinner Reagan along with Joe and I were invited up to talk about life with SMA and MDA's impact.  Joe and I were pretty nervous, but Reagan worked that stage like a pro!  After a late night we just hung out and napped on Saturday.  Sunday Uncle Josh, Nicole and Uncle Ryan all came over for a Brewers Birthday Party "tailgate" to celebrate with Reagan some more!

Our Little Girl is growing up...look who turned SIX today!

May 11, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

Six years ago today we we blessed with the most wonderful gift ever, our beautiful daughter Reagan.  She has taught us so much about what is really important in life and shown us what true strength and grace is.  We began the day with a special birthday breakfast that included a vanilla sprinkled doughnut and some birthday gifts.  Her cousin Mason got her this really cute, custom made birthday dress with her name and number 6 on it that she wore to school.  For lunch I brought her a chicken nugget Happy Meal and ate lunch with her at school and brought all of her birthday treats.  Daddy came home in time to pick her up from school with me.  We then opened presents and meet Grammie and Granpie at the Olive Garden for a special birthday dinner.  She said it was the best birthday ever...and there is still more celebrating to come!

Time to see Dr. Schroth

May 3, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

Today we checked in with Dr, Schroth and Reagan had an upper GI to check on her Nissen.  The UGI showed that her Nissen is still intact and should be good to go?  She had no answer as to why she is vomiting past it and refluxing, but that's that for now.  Lungs are sounding better, but weight is way down and we are going to try some new meds to help her tummy motility and see if that helps her tolerate her feeds better.  We will see how things go over the next few weeks and touch base at the end of the month when Reagan goes in for surgery.

Happy Birthday Aunt Jackie!

We won the appeal...

April 30, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

Back at the end of December we got a letter denying Reagan's aquatic therapy.  This was a huge blow as the pool seems to be the only way we have found to help alleviate the back/butt/hip pain for Reagan.  A week after we got home from the hospital I had to go to court and appeal the decision, I did my research and Anne (Reagan's PT) came with me.  The fantastic news arrived in the mail today...we won the appeal and Reagan will be starting back in the pool as soon as she's feeling better!

Happy Easter and a new member of the Family

April 22, 2011

Welcome Mason Michael Imhoff and congratulations to Mike, April and big sister Gianna!  Reagan has been having lots of fun with Daddy, well, as much fun as a sick kiddo can have.  She has been doing her treatments and keeping Daddy on his toes while I've been gone.  We facetime every morning and every night.  It is really cute watching her and Gianna "talk", really Reagan does all the chatting and Gianna smiles and runs around and comes back over, looks at Reagan and does it again.  Reagan just laughs and calls her "Silly Gigi."  The Easter Bunny was good to Reagan again this year.  Joe said Reagan commented that it was "too easy" finding her basket and eggs this year.

Under the weather once again

April 15, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

Reagan continues to smile, but still is not feeling well.  She has been missing school and just can't seem to turn the corner.  I am heading out to Connecticut Wednesday afternoon help Mike and April with Gianna and the new baby that is scheduled to be born on Friday.  Reagan will be in good hands and is looking forward to a lot of Daddy Daughter time, which I think is code for lots of Wii and princess books at bedtime.  Grammie and Grandpie are helping out a bunch as well!

Enjoying the weekend and the weather

April 10, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

This weekend we wanted Reagan to get lots of rest.  While she did go back to school, with the exception of Monday and Friday Reagan was not able to make it through the day at school.  On Thursday I picked her up right after lunch and she could barely hold her head up.  I knew she must be extremely tired since I said she was going to lay down and take a nap as soon as we got home and she didn't protest a bit!

Saturday we headed over for an interview with Milwaukee Magazine about TOPSoccer, and then just played a bit and took a nice long nap until Grammie came over to play/Reagan-sit so Joe and I could go out for dinner with some friends.

Reagan and I started off this morning getting daddy all packed and out the door by 9:00 to catch his flight to Hong Kong.   I thought we could take a trip to the zoo, but Reagan informed me that we had forgotten to charge her chair the night before and she only had 3 red bars...not nearly enough for the zoo!  We still had a wonderful day outside enjoying the summer like weather.  We played t-ball, catch, sidewalk chalk, bubble, flew a kite and even got a bit a of a tan.

P.S.  Happy Birthday Auntie April and Uncle!

Back to school

April 4, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

Last night Reagan took a nice long shower, then I trimmed and painted nails and blow dried her hair while watching Tangled before some books and bed to get ready for her big day back to school.  Her class is taking a few extra precautions to help keep Reagan, and really the whole class healthy.  It was cute bringing her in to class and hearing her yell out her friends names and zooming on over to them.  I was glued to my phone all day long, to be honest we were a bit worried and not sure if she'd eat well, or have enough stamina to get through the day.  After I dropped Reagan off I headed to the Waukesha Co. Health and Human Services building for an appeal hearing on the State's decision to cut Reagan's PT.  I think it went well, I was able to take a part/defend every bit of rational the state had for denying Reagan's PT, but we will not get the decision until May 5th...keep your fingers crossed.  After stopping by my old stomping grounds at North to deliver some Girl Scout Cookies I headed home to meet Joe so we could go and pick Reagan up from school.  She was all ready and smiling when we got there.  Her teachers said she had a fantastic day!  We celebrated her first day back with a Happy Meal for dinner.  I'm sure she'll sleep really well tonight!

Home-bound Schooling

March 29, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

As Reagan continues to get better at home and since she has missed soooo much school this past month our school district is sending a home school teacher to the house for an hour a day until Reagan is able to go back to school.  I was wondering if she would physically be able to make it through an hour so I had her for an hour and a half before her teacher came, and I think that made a huge difference.  Yesterday afternoon was Reagan's first lesson, she loved it and did really well.  She is at the table as I type with her teacher reading, counting, drawing, and doing a journal entry!  She even wanted to get dresses in something besides her pj's today!

This afternoon Grammie is coming by to watch Reagan so I can take my other girl, Rajah to the vet.  She hasn't really been eating anything for a while and has been vomiting a lot, I know she's older, but I hope it's nothing big.

Back Home

March 26, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

With a twinge of reluctance we were able to bring Reagan home and continue her treatments and getting her back to 100%.  She is still Q4 and her tummy is still gassy and upset, but we are all happy to be home!  Rajah was certainly happy to see us, she's been following us around all day and even slept at the foot of the bed during naps.  Reagan already had some visitors, Grammie came by with lots of "get well goodies" and so did Elizabeth with some cards and fun stuff from the girls at MDA Milwaukee.  If that wasn't enough fun and excitement Reagan got a special package in the mail from her cousin Gianna, a LPS Clubhouse and one of her sweet little friends from school, Riley left a super cute "Get Well" card in the mailbox that made her day!  She's still up and down, and it will be a while before she's all better, but at least we're home.

Our sick little Love Bug

March 23, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

On Monday after three very long and at times scary nights I called Madison and I was told to bring her in to the ER to get assessed.  Reagan was admitted to the PICU and was put on Q2 protocol (respiratory treatments every two hours).  It is now late Wednesday night and she is on the floor and off PICU service, which means she is getting better.  Since this illness has been going on for so long Dr. Schroth and company want to make sure she is stronger and further ahead of this nasty virus before we get the all clear!  I will keep you posted best I can!

Thanks Braden, Lesli and Tim for the balloons and pink puppy and Michelle for stopping by with gifts for Reagan and Diet Coke for me, and especially my mom and dad for dropping everything on Monday to drive Reagan and I to the ER in Madison!

Home sick...again

March14, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

I guess she wasn't all better.  After a so-so weekend Reagan woke up Monday morning looking pretty good and sounding really good, but by mid afternoon, I got a call from school that Reagan had a fever and was really quiet.  While the fever may be the alarming thing for most to hear, I knew the quiet part was much worse.  By Monday night was a bit rough as was, really the rest of the week.  Thursday I called the doctor and Reagan was started on another new antibiotic and nebulizer, I also was told I needed to bring Reagan the following day so they could take a look at her and get some chest x-rays to get a better idea of what was going on.

Long time no updates...

March 12, 2011

entry from Mom/Jenny

I know it's been a long time since I've made a journal entry, before Christmas to be exact and now the snow is melting and almost gone!  What has Reagan been up to since December 23rd? Well, let me catch you up…

The rest of December…

We had a very nice Christmas, Reagan got lots of goodies and we baked dozens and dozens of different cookies and made candies and tried out quite a few new recipes this holiday.  My little helper did a great job decorating but she kept sneaking tastes of the cookie dough, I really need to keep an eye on that one!

Shortly after Christmas Reagan had a sleep study done in Madison.  I always chuckle with “sleep” studies, because I don’t know just how much sleeping really goes on.  Her study came back kind of inconclusive.  We do know that with or without her BI-Pap on she has multiple apnea episodes a night, but there really isn’t much to change/do since she already has her BI-Pap.

December 30, 2010 was a date to remember…Reagan lost her very first tooth.  That little thing had been hanging on by a thread and while I was brushing her teeth in the morning it fell out.  She was thrilled and couldn’t wait for bedtime to put it under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy.  All day long she thought of what she looked like and wondered if she would be awake when she came and took her tooth.  The Tooth Fairy left Reagan and princess coin purse and $5.00!

Our New Year started off with some pretty exciting news…Reagan was selected to be the 2011 MDA State of Wisconsin Goodwill Ambassador!  What an honor!

January…

First, an orthopedic appointment in Madison to have a spine xray and discuss/reassess/problem solve the whole hip/butt/leg pain.  Reagan’s spine is curving again, but still okay for a few months before she needs to have her rods lengthened, her hip/butt/leg is a completely different story and a long one at that.  I will not bore or scare you with the details, let’s just say we are looking into multiple opinions and really weighing all of the options.

On January 5th the New Berlin Ike and West GBB teams had “Shoot for a Cure” night at their game and raised $2000.00 for FSMA.  Reagan and Braden, and a new friend Jackie were introduced before the game and had their picture taken with both programs (frosh, JV and Varsity teams).

The Boucher Group sponsored at special night at the Milwaukee Admirals game for MDA clients and their families.  There was a wonderful reception before the game with face painting, an ice cream sundae bar, a clown that made wonderful balloon animals and so much food.  Reagan even suckered Joe into getting popcorn and nachos during the game!  Thanks to all of the Boucher Group for a fun night!

Girl Scout Cookie season is in full swing.  This fall Reagan became a Daisy Scout and now it’s cookie time!  At the end of it all she ended up selling 100 boxes on the head…yeah Troop 4700!

I took Reagan to the place I get my hair done, Azana Salon, and Zena gave Reagan a long overdue trim with some layers.  She flat ironed it and painted her nails, Reagan LOVED it and looked like such a big girls with her hair all done.  After that we headed over to the MDA offices for the Shamrock kick-off meeting and got to see everyone.  Reagan also had the MDA Black-n-Blue Ball photo shoot the following day, which she was a big ham for.

February…

Lots of snow and then some more snow.  The Alverno WBB team had a special night in honor of Reagan to raise money and awareness for the MDA Muscle Walk and team Rally for Reagan.  Both the Alverno and Concordia-WI teams’ had a special gift for Reagan and during the announcing of the starting line-ups Reagan was at half court and shook all of the starter’s hands.  She was smiling from ear to ear and was tough to get out the door to go home after the game was over!

February 11th was the 100th day of Kindergarten!  Each student made a special shirt with a big “100” on the front and they then had to count out and add 100 items.  There were some pretty creative shirts…Reagan came up with her 100 favorite movies and shows which I then found on Amazon, copied the cover and pasted into a Photoshop layout, resized and printed onto iron-transfer paper and ironed on to her 100 day shirt!  A few days after that was Valentine’s Day♥  I thankfully thought ahead and had Reagan start writing them a couple at a time over about a two week period, and they made their own Valentine boxes at school, which was nice to not worry about it at home…thanks Mrs. MuenchJ

Saturday, February 19th was the big MDA Muscle Walk at the Milwaukee Sports complex.  We teamed up with sweet little Braden, Lesli and Tim McCarthy and had a great big team that raised over $5000.  We had some of our wonderful friends and family get up early on a Saturday morning to walk and “Make a Muscle” for Reagan and MDA.  Unfortunately, come late afternoon Reagan was not feeling so well and by bedtime she was running a very high fever and began vomiting.  Joe and I were a bit panicked because we had a big surprise in store for Reagan that following Saturday that was all planned.  Come Monday morning she wasn’t feeling any better so we went to see Dr. Dan hoping he could help get her healthy quickly, so he took a look prescribed some Azithromycin to help with the cough and Zofran for the nausea.  Five days of chest pt, naps and extra fluids and Reagan was almost back to 100%, at least well enough for the Big Surprise!

The morning of the 26th Joe and I gave Reagan the third and final “Big Surprise” clue. Clues #1 and #2 were a Sleeping Beauty tiara and a box set of Disney Princess stories and sing a longs, #3 was a Mickey Mouse shirt.  After the wheels turned she figured out the surprise and went nuts, zooming all over…(video of it)

Disney World here we come...we drove for two days and arrived safe and sound Sunday night.  It was wonderful to step out into the warm breeze and smell the fresh air and get some much need vitamin D over the next few days.  Monday was Epcot...lunch at the castle with Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, and Snow White, touring part of the "world", meeting Tinker Bell, Vidia, and Rosetta.  By late afternoon Reagan was not sounding to good and looked exhausted so we called it a day and went back to the resort for some swimming and early bedtime!  Tuesday was Hollywood Studios, more character autographs and pictures, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast productions, Toy Story the ride, Disney Junior's new performance and Reagan suckering daddy into getting her a $10 balloon.  I spent part of the afternoon on the phone with doctor's office which prescribed another round of antibiotics, so we called it a day.  Wednesday morning we slept in and relaxed before heading to Downtown Disney for Reagan's appointment at the Bippity Boppity Boutique for her "magical princess transformation" by her special Fairy Godmother in training!  Words cannot express her level of joy and excitement, it was awesome and she looked beautiful.  That night we saw the Cirque de Soleil show La Nouba...WOW, it was amazing.  After the show we thought we'd quick swing by Epcot to watch IllumNations firework show to cap the night off.  Thursday we headed to Magic Kingdom and had a wonderful day of parades, meeting characters, going on a lot of rides and best of all the fireworks.  Thursday night was not a good one for Reagan, a few desats and lots of coughing so we slept in Friday morning.  Friday we headed to Animal Kingdom for about half the day we went on safari, which was super fun, and super bumpy.  Then we saw the Festival of the Lion King and Little Nemo before calling it a day because Reagan could even hold herself up any more.  We headed back to the resort to make tacos for dinner and before Reagan could even stat eating she coughed and, well, began a very  long couple of hours.  She went downhill very quickly with a what we think was a plug.  It was about an hour and  a half before she was stable...needless to say that was the end of Disney and we made our way home first thing in the morning.
